0001: Tauri v2 for the desktop app
Status: accepted
Context
Section titled “Context”DevKit needs a small, native-feeling app with a menu bar window, and all of its logic is in Rust.
Decision
Section titled “Decision”Use Tauri v2 (stable), with a React and TypeScript UI. The Tauri shell only bridges the UI to devkitd; it holds no domain logic.
Consequences
Section titled “Consequences”The app is small and uses the system web view. The UI can be developed in a browser against a mocked daemon. Tauri v3 is not used until it’s stable.
