Mail

DevKit catches outgoing mail with Mailpit on 127.0.0.1:2525. Nothing is delivered to real addresses. The Mail screen shows messages as they arrive, with the HTML, text, headers and raw source.

Setting Value
Host 127.0.0.1
Port 2525
User name your project’s name (it picks the inbox)
Password anything, or leave it empty
Encryption none

For Laravel:

MAIL_MAILER=smtp
MAIL_HOST=127.0.0.1
MAIL_PORT=2525
MAIL_USERNAME=${APP_NAME}
MAIL_PASSWORD=null

The Mail screen shows the same settings for Laravel, Symfony, Django, Rails and Node, ready to copy.

The SMTP user name decides which inbox a message lands in, so each project gets its own. Messages sent without a user name land in the shared inbox. The sidebar shows how many messages you haven’t read.
